The stunning sought-after Offspring products came from the need to provide vocational training, assisting young women in their transition back into community life.
This Social Enterprise side of our model (Vocational Training) uses recycled saris sourced throughout Kolkata. Together with organic lining, we aim to provide an ethical product people can love and enjoy, whilst sharing our story across the world. Each piece is a ‘one of a kind’ – when you buy it, you can be confident that you are the only person with that exact item. There is pride taken in creating every piece and each product, from beginning to end, takes approximately 1-2 days to complete. With 6 layers of sari in each panel, they are hand stitched together using the traditional Kantha stitch of West Bengal.
Each product bought enables us to continue providing hope and opportunity to young women who we believe are more than worthy of it!
